WEDNESDAY RACING PREVIEW – CANTERBURY

The main racing on Wednesday in NSW will be held at the  Canterbury Park track.

The sun is out the sky is blue there’s not a cloud to spoil the view….so let’s back a few!

Biggest question is: can Darren Beadman land a winner at his first day of training under his own name? Big chance to do so I think.

Rail Position: Is out 6m entire circuit

Track Condition: rates a good 3

Race 1- 3YO Mdn Plate 1100m
Date: 10/5
Time: 1:05pm
Location: Canterbury Park

Good, strong, even but small field this. ENNUI is fast but is resuming. Can lead all the way and give D. Beadman first winner as a trainer. DREAM I CAN has had a good many goers at winning, but finds it tough. Should place though, while FREE SKY has placed twice thus far this grade so is expected to shine here.

Race 2 – Mdn 2YO Fillies Plate 1200m
Date: 10/5
Time: 1:40pm
Location: Canterbury Park

SEAGLASS ran a cracker on debut when 5th in this grade. Fitter and drawn perfectly. GRAND THEFT AUTO has had the experience now with 4 starts – and has placed twice this company. Big show. SASUBA is trialling well enough to be considered a threat in this.

Race 3- 2YO Males Mdn Plate 1200m
Date: 10/5
Time: 2:15pm
Location: Canterbury Park

HONG QIGONG will need to go hard early from this draw but showed talent on debut when strong 2nd this grade. Fitter and looks to be hard to beat. KEMENTARI for Beadman and has trialled particularly well. Looks well up to this on debut. RULER might have talent. Was hidden away in trials but certain things suggest bold showing here on debut.

Race 4- BM 77 1900m
Date: 10/5
Time: 2:50pm
Location: Canterbury Park

BE LIKE DAD is better than last start failure suggests. Did win 2 prior to that in this grade and gets benefit of weight relief here. NOTHIBNG BOX is just tough and honest and is going through the grades. Drawn to get perfect run and looks very hard to hold out. HIS KYLLACHY is drawn widest but Aussie debut run last start said this bloke has talent. Fitter now and looks the x-factor horse. Can go on with it.

Race 5- Keith McCabe Memorial 3yo BM 66 Hcp 1250m
Date: 10/5
Time: 3:25pm
Location: Canterbury Park

UPTOWN LAD is up in grade but how do you knock winning form? Won mdn then spelled and returned with on speed Class 1 win last start. Will be handy and strong at the hand here too. WAYANKA is probably the pick of the C. Waller runners here. Looked like a progressive type winning similar race last start when resuming. CAN DREAM won weaker race at mdn level last start – but it was 2nd race start so experience and fitness will kick in here. Place.

Race 6- BM 67 Hcp 1550m
Date: 10/5
Time: 4:05pm
Location: Canterbury Park

GARBHAN has solid form in better grade. Chance here as he is one who gets back and runs into a hole often. Is Qld bound if he wins this. YEAH BRAVO won easier race last start showing progressive talents. This is harder but is in form. MULL OVER has been disappointing after promising sooo much 2 months back. Can place here though as drop in grade.

Race 7- BM 72 Hcp 1250m
Date: 10/5
Time: 4:40pm
Location: Canterbury Park

COOLCRAFT is a bit hit and miss but is fresh here after a great 3rd when resuming. Is good enough to blouse them. ORCYM SAM goes well fresh and is first up here. Disappointed back end of last campaign but on his day he could win this comfortably. Watch betting. MILITARY MACHINE is stepping up in grade a third time following solid wins. Scratched from earlier this week for this. Respect.
