Daily Racing Selections – Monday 28th August

Wangaratta Race 1 – Maiden Plate 1170m

Monday 28th August, 12:30PM

Good maiden this, but I think LORD SUNDOWNER appeals the most here. Resuming from a spell, the Mick Price-trained 3YO is drawn to get a great run just behind the pace. When last in work, he raced twice and his 2nd at his last appearance when getting home gamely suggests this will suit. Has grown and improved since then too.

Dubbo Race 2 – Maiden Plate 1120m

Monday 28th August, 1:35PM

This is a former Victorian mare who was transferred to leading NSW bush trainer, Cameron Crockett’s yard five months ago and on previous form she rates a show. But the word from Mudgee where she now lives, is that she has grown a leg this way of going. Get on early as she will firm up in betting as the race approaches.

Port Macquarie galloper, DREAMALINA, is a bit of a country sprinting star. She is so honest and very fast. Her two runs this prep underline her class, leading all the way to win last start in slightly weaker grade with 61kg. That was her 4th win from past 7 starts. Honesty is a valuable asset for sprinting and she has plenty of it.
