PAGEANTRY is the one to beat here. She’s first up and has good early speed, so expect to see her right up on the pace. She went round with some of the top Victorian juveniles last prep and even trekked to South Australia for a stakes race where she placed. This is easier and she can produce.
AGHNA now lines up for her third trainer in Toby Edmonds after showing glimpses of ability for her previous two stables. Her temperament and racing manners have let her down previously but on her past winning performances, and with the change to a leading Queensland stable, we’re willing to give her a chance here.
FORTENSKY has been heavily backed in his last four starts, after winning impressively first up this prep. Only narrowly beaten in all four of those runs, he keeps doing enough to keep punters interested. He races on the speed, which should serve him well around this track where he looks to gain control. If you can forgive his most recent failures, he’ll be right in it at this grade.
